Last year we experienced one of the wettest winters on record, but the wet days were interspersed with some beautiful sunny weather, imagine the frustration of waking to a glorious winter’s day, to find that your golf course is closed because of the previous day’s rain!  At Purley Downs our course remained open through-out the winter months, and rarely needed even a single temporary green.  Furthermore on most days both trolleys and buggies were permitted on the course.  There are very few Golf Clubs in the South East that can make that claim!
